Hi, I’m Ellie James, the cook behind Easy Cooks Recipes! My love for cooking started in my mama’s cozy kitchen on our North Carolina farm, where every meal she made was an act of love.

She taught me that food could comfort, heal, and bring people together—and I’ve carried that lesson with me ever since.

Now, I share those same heartfelt, homey recipes with over a million home cooks, helping others find joy in simple, soulful meals made with love.

You might not know…

I learned to cook from my grandma on our North Carolina farm—long before I learned how to ride a bike.

I never went to culinary school—my training came from Sunday suppers, flour-dusted aprons, and generations of handwritten family recipes.

I once tried going vegan for a month… I made it 10 days. Cheddar was my downfall.

Cornbread? I bake it every single week, rain or shine—it’s a non-negotiable in my kitchen.

I’ve been married to my high school sweetheart, Will, for 15 years—and he still swears my chicken and dumplings are unbeatable.
